2023 Maker’s Box

We probably could have covered this a bit earlier, but in truth, the 2023 Maker’s Box sold out so fast this year that we barely had to promote it, thanks to the beautiful work put into this collaboration by all involved! Even though these disappeared quickly from the virtual shelves at Brooklyn General Store, this beautiful Maker’s Box deserves to be memorialized here on the blog, and remembered forever as one of the best!

This year’s Maker’s Box had a focus: "In the Dye Garden”, and was full of natural color and early-spring excitement. Included in each kit was a printed pattern for The Dyer’s Garden Cowl, designed by member Catherine Clark. This beautiful cowl features stranded colorwork in all naturally dyed shades. The yarn in this edition was naturally dyed by member Tamara White of Wing and a Prayer Farm.

Also included in the kit were dried flowers, grown by Lisa Dachinger of Hilltop Farm and Fiber Arts, and a pre-mordanted tea towel, ready for bundle dyeing and creating your very own colorful experiment and souvenir! Instructions were, of course, also included.

Like all of our Maker’s Box series, all proceeds from the sales of these boxes go directly to the members contributing. This particular Maker’s Box was coordinated and fulfilled by Catherine Clark at Brooklyn General Store.
