CLEAN FLEECE SCOURING
Clean Fleece, an initiative of HVTP, opened for business in 2023 and is now accepting greasy (raw) fibers for scouring services from both Hudson Valley Textile Project members and non-members.
Clean Fleece plays is vital role in bringing more of the regionโs natural fibers into production. HVTP is devoted to addressing gaps in the regional supply chain.

NY FIBER TRAIL
Big news: HVTP has acquired the New York Fiber Trail!
The NY Fiber Trail welcomed over 10,000 visitors last year, and we're excited to welcome even more in 2026. Our team is updating the website information for this year, adding over 20 new stops! NY Fiber Trail is a great opportunity for people to join our initiative, Sweaters for Good, by visiting a yarn store or farm on the trail, and purchasing local yarn to make your 2026 Rhinebeck sweater.
We hope you have fun discovering new fiber places in your community and supporting farmers and small business owners.
From May 1 to October 31, 2026, visit as many participating shops, fiber farms and studios along the trail as you can. Pick up a passport at your first stop and have it stamped at every member shop you visit! At the end of the season, send a photo of your stamped passport for a chance to win some great prizes!
SWEATERS FOR GOOD
Sweaters for Good launched in October 2025 as a movement celebrating the power of local fibers and community. When you choose yarn grown and milled in our region, every stitch supports farms, mills, and makersโkeeping dollars in our communities and sustaining the businesses that make local textiles possible. Join us and pledge to knit local and wear it proud.
