FREE WORKSHOP: Fabulous Photos for Fiber Farms, Knitwear and Wooly Products

Mark your calendar for a free members-only workshop on January 27 at 7:00 PM, presented in collaboration with the Dutchess County Sheep and Wool Growers Association: Fabulous Photos for Fiber Farms, Knitwear and Wooly Products – Creating and Editing in Your Phone, with photographer and HVTP friend Gale Zucker.
In this two hour workshop, professional knitwear photographer Gale Zucker will lead you through the full process of producing, creating and editing dynamic photographs for your business.
In the first hour we will cover planning your photo shoot needs, choosing locations and backgrounds, composition, lighting, working with people, and posing.
Our second hour will focus on In Phone Photo Editing of your images, to add the touch-up magic that makes viewers stop, drop, and buy.Gale will live demo using a powerful and friendly app, available for both IOS and Android.There will be time for Q & A.
Participants will leave class more confident in creating strong visuals for social media and marketing photography.They will have the skills to make images ready to pop right into all usages, online and in print.
PREPARATION FOR CLASS:
- HAVE YOUR SMARTPHONE/IPHONE FULLY CHARGED, AND UPDATED
- PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE SNAPSEED APP.

- MAKE SURE THERE IS SPACE IN YOUR PHONE FOR THE CREATION AND STORAGEOF NEW IMAGES, AS YOU’LL WANT TO PLAY ALONG IN THE EDITING PART OF THE CLASS.
Gale Zucker is a commercial photographer with a specialty of knitwear and handmade fashion.She photographs for yarn companies, books, magazines, brands and designers.She is the photographer for 20+ book titles and proud of co-authoring three knitting/craft books:Drop Dead Easy Knits, Craft Activism and Shear Spirit, all from Random House/Clarkson Potter.
Gale started her career as a photojournalist, on assignment for THE NEW YORK TIMES and major magazines.As a lifelong knitter and maker, she was delighted to shift her client list toward handmade fashion, bringing her skills in the narrative power of photography to fiber and design subjects.
In 2009 Gale started teaching Photography for Knitters and Makers workshops. She has taught at TNNA, NY Sheep and Wool, Vogue Knitting Live, Knit and Escape, Shepherds Harvest, Creativation and since 2020, online in virtual class.
Gale’s alter ego, She Shoots Sheep Shots, is also the name of her knitting blog, updated irregularly since 2005. She posts wool related content daily on IG: http://instagram.com/galezucker
